Welcome to an ISO 9000:2015 certified pre-school that is miles ahead in nurturing young minds. Our facilitators are mentors with years of experience in guiding early learners into a smooth transition from pre-school to high school. With ample focus on developmental milestones and learning skills, we play the role of an active facilitator and help the learners grow as evolved individuals.

Be it infrastructure, fleet of buses, well-researched curriculum, or the way of inculcating cultural insights and values, no stone is left unturned to offer the very best an early stage learner can get. Our Journey

Here’s our journey in a nutshell, it encapsulates our crucial landmarks. It serves as an inspiration for us to do better every single day for the parents and learners associated with us.

GSBB, was established in June, 1999, under the wing of Gopal Sharma Group of Schools.

GSBB runs independently and strive to gain a reputation as centres of excellence in pre-school education. Currently, with a fully experienced, well-trained team of facilitators and staff, our enrolments are increasing every year and with it GSBB Powai Vihar is gaining prominence among its peers.

Our Team

Our entire team is well-qualified to teach young students. The team is rigorously trained from time to time and their skills are enhanced with the latest developments and revelations in child psychology. We undertake regular research to continuously improve our teaching styles and the contents of our curriculum.

OUR PERSPECTIVE ON EARLY CHILD EDUCATION

We equip our learners to conduct social interactions with confidence, demonstrate skills efficiently and navigate emotions in a smooth manner. A structured and scientific approach to early childhood education empowers our learners with much-needed foundational skills and prepares them holistically for higher learning stages.

INFRASTRUCTURE

INFRASTRUCTURE

Infrastructure has a profound effect on a child’s mind and behaviour. Our child-centric infrastructure is built with love and provides a safe and joyful learning atmosphere. Classrooms, activity rooms and playground infrastructure are all curated keeping the safety of students in mind. The thoughtfully planned infrastructure at GSBB Powai Vihar has been customised to support the learners in making a smoother transition to ICSE or SSC board.

Child-Friendly Building and Furniture

Brick by brick, we have built our school, keeping in mind the safety and well-being of our students. The school provides a calm environment where your child can freely engage, learn, respond, and play wholeheartedly. Our building is colourful and has large open and closed spaces where students enhance their creativity, interact with fellow students, and bond with the pre-school. The architecture is child-centric and attracts students towards it.

The classroom, activity room, and playground furniture are curated while keeping the safety of students in mind. An entire floor is designated to our preschoolers giving them safe and secure environment.

Mini Auditorium

Our Mini Auditorium provides just the right stage to express the budding talents of our students. Music, dance, role-plays, drama, theatre, elocution, current affairs, Sci-fari, annual day function, fancy dress and even poem recitals, this is the place that celebrates the creativity of every student. Our facilitators are there to facilitate programmes and make sure the students are channelising their energy and joy, right in the centre of the school.

PROGRAMS

PROGRAMS

Transitioning from home to school is always tough for a student who is just 3 years of age. It is also a heart-wrenching situation for the parents after enrolling their child in Nursery. For the first time, the student is away from the parents for long hours. We understand this situation is tough for the student to deal with. To make this necessary transition easier, our facilitators strive to develop trust and a friendly bond with the student.

  • We believe that a strong bond between students and facilitators is essential to have positive outcomes for intellectual and physical growth. It’s the reason why, our facilitators constantly engage in collaborative endeavours with learners.
  • Learners are encouraged to participate in various fun activities like role play, scribbling, colouring, building blocks, yoga and many more.
  • Facilitators pay close attention to each student and understand their needs. This helps them in formulating a customised activity plan for each student. We understand that each student has their way of grasping things.
  • At this stage, we strive to activate the self-learning mode in a student. Our Facilitators encourage the student to experiment, explore, and find logical ways to solve a problem.
  • Once students are settled emotionally, we start working on their concept knowledge and social skills like working in groups, cooperation, listening and learning from their environment. Students are introduced to early literacy skills, numerical concepts and interpersonal skills along with creative art-based activities.
  • As students at this age are extremely curious, inquisitive and full of queries, they are encouraged to ask questions, explore, experiment, and communicate physically and verbally.
  • We consistently focus on developing the following skills for holistic development:
    • Early Literacy
    • Early Numerical Abilities
    • Pre-Reading and Writing Concepts
    • Creative Expression
    • Social and Interpersonal Communication
    • Music and Movement
    • Physical Development-Fine Motor and Gross Motor Skills

In Junior KG sessions, students are about 4 years of age. They are exposed to the foundational skills in language and mathematics. As the days progress, they are settled first and then additional activities are included to upgrade their learnings as per the age. Facilitator in each class strives to cultivate interest and inculcate love for learning by helping them to spell and read.

Students are engaged with spontaneous activities to motivate them to explore phonetics, numerical abilities and socially acceptable behaviour.

Apart from academics, students are also encouraged to pursue creative interests through arts, crafts and storytelling sessions.

They also learn to perform physical exercises and discover the joy of music with songs, instrumental music and dance. Special Days are organized to focus exclusively on essential life skills and learning to be independent.

In the Senior KG sessions, students are around 5 years of age. Here, there is enhanced focus on building vocabulary, expanding attention span, adding on the foundations in math, science and languages, along with a simultaneous pursuit in creative arts – music, drawing, dance and drama.

Our Facilitators at this stage endeavor to develop language and confidence dimensions in a student’s personality. We achieve these objectives by involving the students in multiple activities such as Classroom Events, Celebrations, Elocution, Assembly, Drama, Sports Day and Annual Day.

We also strive to instill values and empathy through our signature social initiative – PEHEL- Joy of Giving. In multiple ways, we help our learners prepare for the next stage in life: the transition from pre-school to primary school.

We see Daycare as a seamless opportunity to build a strong foundation in a child’s life. Our staff at Daycare try to create a stimulating atmosphere that is challenging yet delightful for young students. We aim to make the child easily explore and understand the world around them.

Our nurturing Facilitators open the doors of dynamic learning for the child with attention to sensory learning and exploring new themes daily.

A few activities at Daycare:

  • Students are lovingly made to do fun activities like squeezing a soft ball, twisting a rope, gripping a toy, pouring water, moulding clay, climbing stairs, etc. These things are done to help students refine their motor skills.
  • Students learn eye-hand coordination and grip by playing with block toys of alphabet/numbers.
  • Facilitators help the learners in eating with a spoon independently and dress up on their own.
  • Revisions are conducted concerning number sequences, patterns and shapes. Sessions are also planned to broaden understanding about different colours, shapes, objects, and environments.
  • Students are engaged in recitation of poems, rhymes and fairytales.
  • Group activities are conducted to encourage interactions and boost social skills.

ACTIVITIES

Teachers at GSBB have a friendly, approachable demeanour and an awareness of the requirements of young children. Teachers with great communication skills, creativity, energy, attention, and dedication, as well as a Diploma in Education or Nursery Teacher's Training or a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, are sought. At GSBB our teachers focus on the learning curve of every child and encourage the children to question, hypothesise, analyse, and explore their own strengths and weaknesses. A welcoming environment is created for the children, encouraging our kids to look forward to school every day. Utmost effort is put in by the school, teachers, and staff, for students to have a great experience at GSBB.

It was the vision of my father, Late Shri Gopal C. Sharma to educate and empower youth by providing them with quality education. This noble institution was his dream. My mother, Smt. Sunitadevi Gopal Sharma laid the foundation stone of this institution on 29th March 1999 to fulfill my father's dream. With my mother's blessings, I have been able to make his dream a reality. On behalf of our Managing body, Smt. Durgadevi Sharma Charitable Trust, I take this opportunity to thank all parents, staff and students of GSBB family."Discovering the world through play and imagination, our preprimary children embark on a journey of wonder and growth at GSBB, guided by dedicated educators who nurture their young minds with care and love." Every child needs proper guidance in their journey of self-development and achieving growth milestones. Our Facilitators are always a guiding light for the children throughout their learning journey in our Preschool.

Our Facilitators do their best to develop an inner desire in each child for learning. Facilitators strive to prepare the children for every next step of their academic, emotional, and social development.

We are committed to meaningful and productive communication with all our students' parents. The parents will have easy and regular access to our faculty members and can know about the progress of their precious child.

Our building and furniture are child-centric with proper security details like fire alarms, lights, air ventilation, medical aid, adequate space in corridors, blunt-edge furniture, etc. Our Facilitators are loving and always make the children feel secure and protected.
